Who we are
Our community provides opportunities in Madison, Wisconsin, and the central Midwest for the practice of samatha/vipassana meditation in the Theravada Buddhist tradition and access to the teachings of the Buddha.

We offer residential, non-residential, and virtual meditation retreats in Wisconsin and online.

We also periodically offer other events, such as half-day meditation, classes, and other community events.

Ajahn Pasanno Retreat Audio Now Available
Retreat audio from our October 2023 retreat at Pine Lake led by Ajahn Pasanno is now online.

Introduction to practice
We offer an introductory session on the second Sunday of each month. An experienced practitioner will introduce meditation and our group, lead a guided meditation, and answer questions. Join us in person from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
We also offer the introduction via videoconference. If you are interested, please send a request to info@madisonmeditation.org to set up a convenient time.
